Mathilda (“call me Mat”) Hopkins, aka The Skinner, is a peddler, trader, and Enchantress with a London-based business that cannot be found, except by those who already know where it is. Horrible things are rumoured to happen to those who break her deals. She sells and buys artefacts of all kinds, usually of a rare and dangerous or outright illegal nature, and her stock isn’t limited to magical objects – if a black market exists in the UK or elsewhere, chances are Hopkins can access it. Her stock ranges from vast stores of Adamasite, ancient enchanted weapons, or potion ingredients to illegal computer programs, designer drugs, and AK 47s. She has a particular talent for procuring enchanted jewellery and items from outside the UK.

Hopkins is also one of the only magical dealers in Britain with a website (containing simply a contact form, with no other details provided – she will contact you with further details) and has been successfully doing business out of the back of her unmarked white van for over 7 years now. Those searching for any official traces of her existence are going to be disappointed: any evidence of her existence is limited to the word-of-mouth accounts of her clients, rumours which die out somewhere around 13 or 14 years ago, and her name is almost certainly a pseudonym (or so everybody assumes, although why any sane Wytch would choose that name is another question). She is not affiliated with any known organization.
