Simon DeMonfort: Eternity

One of the most elusive figures of the Seven Covens, Simon Demonfort is mostly remembered for his staunch support of his sister's endeavours. However, this does a disservice to a strong character who had many plans of his own but often put them to one side to assist his sibling, the more public-facing of the two.

- 2014: The Year of the Wytch

During his sister Safiya's impressive rise within parliament, Simon DeMonfort remained on the sidelines, researching little bits of unknown magic to better understand them, but occasionally assisting with any large public events that Safiya needed to happen in just the right way. Over time, he became influential within the greater society of the Pyros, and was a somewhat surprising inheritor of Ashen's mantle of partial government upon that legendary figure's retirement. His uncanny link to his sister, even when she rose to the highest circles of power, allowed them to continue supporting each other's work in many subtle ways - a demonstration here, a relaxation of the trading laws there - and, in their individual spheres, they flourished. Simon never married, but appeared content with his lot in life.
