Candice Faraker: The Spark Never Goes Out

“Candice Faraker (aka Soul Spark) was the most affected by Eriko's death. While the other Soul Sisters and her friends in the Heart Maidens always insisted Eriko's death was not her fault, and while she seemed to eventually come round to agree that it wasn't, her actions always suggested she never quite forgave herself.

Shortly following the last of the 'Seven Covens', Candice appeared in a public service announcement aired on UKBC to warn Wytches about the dangers of vigilantism. Candice recounted the full story of the Soul Sisters and the Heart Maidens before warning that reckless dreams will only result in people getting themselves killed.

A while after this, Candice began volunteering for the Teenage Cancer Trust, working to help spread the knowledge of the cure to cancer that had been administered to Eriko shortly before her death, while working to apply to HMMR's Agent Training Program.

Candice was accepted on as a recon agent and over the years worked with her close personal friend Maddie Smythe (formerly Burnt Heart) to build up her confidence and eventually slowly was able to use pyromancy in a controlled way in illusion to help with her combat, before eventually being accepted as a full combat agent for HMMR, remaining calm and calculated in her use of magic and only using it when all other means failed. Her cautious use of magic earned her respect in the ranks of HMMR and she slowly rose through them until joining the Inquisitorial Department later in her life alongside Maddie.

From then, Inquisitor Faraker and Inquisitor Smythe were truly a force for good in the Inquisition, working carefully to deceive rogues into getting themselves arrested rather than taking them by force wherever possible.”
